Ballet Masterclasses with Maria Sascha Khan
Maria Sascha Khan is from a family of artists. Her and her three siblings are all classical ballet dancers. Nadia Khan with the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Rome, brother Julian MacKay, First Soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, St. Petersburg, Russia and Nicholas MacKay, of both the Bolshoi and Vagonova Ballet Academies.
Trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet under Luidmila Morkovina and the Academie de Danse Classique de Princesse Grace, Monte Carlo, she attended Royal Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet and American Ballet Theatre summer programs on scholarship. Graduating under the personal mentorship of the Academie's directress, Marika Besobrasova, Maria Sascha then joined the Staatsballett Berlin, ranked one of the top 5 companies in the world. Dancing a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire she went on to dance with the Bayerisches Staatsballett, Munich, English National Ballet, London and as a Principal Dancer with the Ekaterinburg State Ballet, Russia. Currently based in London as an international guest artist she is developing a new full length ballet "Warrior of Light" featuring her and her three siblings. An excerpt of the ballet will soon premiere as a highlight of the prestigious Russian Icons Gala, London Coliseum.
Maria Sascha is is an accomplished public speaker and produces an online video series "Inspiring Artists", has adjudicated as a jury member for International Ballet Competitions, is Vice President of the International Dance Council (CID) UNESCO, London, has taught Master Classes around the world. She is a Mentor for non-profit arts organisation Youth Arts in Action, and an Ambassador for "Save Wild Tigers". Features include cover girl for Malaysia Tatler, ELLE magazine, Singapore Tatler, HOT Book Mexico, Indonesia Tatler, The Washington Post, television commercials for Honda Acura, Lowe, medals from competitions Youth America Grand Prix and Premio Internazionale Danza, scholarships from the Prix de Lausanne and a Tiger Woods Foundation Scholarships for her work with children.
Her passion is to give back and inspire others through the Beauty of the Arts.
