Kristal Tan Workshops at FAB - 5.30pm-9.30pm, Friday 7th Feb 2020

​Kristal Tan is a dancer and choreographer from San Antonio, Texas where she trained competitively in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop. Her training varied from dancing win her high school dance team, local ballet company, and dance studio’s competitive team.
She was accepted to Pace University’s BFA Commercial Dance program in New York City where she completed her freshman year. After transferring to Texas State University, she became a member of her school’s student led performance ensemble- Orchesis Dance Company, and faculty-led touring ensemble- Merge Dance Company. She was also personally selected by the Department of Dance and Fine Arts as a dance scholarship recipient for three consecutive years. 
Tan was a resident choreographer and teacher at First Class Dance Center in San Marcos, Texas. She has choreographed many award winning pieces in contemporary, tap, jazz and musical theater. Her work has received recognition such as “Best Choreography,” “Hall of Fame MVP,” and “Highest Scoring Number.” She has guest taught locally around the San Antonio and Austin areas, Houston and Eagle Pass, to over the waters all the way in Hawaii, Malaysia, Mexico, and Thailand!
She has trained intensively in NYC for 3 months under the prestigious BDC faculty as an alumni of BDC's Professional Semester Program.
Currently she is dancing with Academy of Villains Contemporary Branch, and acting in Los Angeles where she is signed with Luxe Talent Agency. She is grateful for every day she gets to spend training in LA and doing what she loves!

Workshops - 7th Feb 2020 - 5.30pm-9.30pm

• Jazz - All levels 5.30pm-7pm (1.5hr) Technique drills and choreography 
• Contemporary/Lyrical -All levels - 7pm-8.30pm (1.5 hr) warm up, across the floor technique and improvisation then choreography 
• Rhythm tap - All levels Tap - 8.30pm-9.30pm (1hr) Rhythm tap, basic technique and choreography
