Notice for Parents, Students and Teachers on the Covid 19 Coronavirus
Last amended 16th March 2020
Dear Students and Parents,
In light of the current situation in our country of the spread of the Covid-19 Virus in the nation I am sure that we are all very concerned about the safety of our children and families. Preventing this disease from spreading and ensuring a safe space for everyone requires responsibility on everyone’s part, the school, students, parents and teachers. We are actively monitoring the situation and are keeping abreast of official advice from the government.
We are doing the following to keep our students, teachers, parents and staff as safe as possible..
- We will be putting up signs to encourage everyone to wash their hands immediately when they come into the building and after class. The teachers will ensure that all students have sanitised their hands before class.
- Hand Sanitisers are provided in every studio, at the reception counter and at the guard house.
- The studios are provided with anti bacterial wipes which the teachers and students may use to disinfect the barres as and when required.
- We have implemented disinfecting of all surfaces which the student is likely to come into contact with in addition to regular cleaning. This includes barres and door handles.
- We will be implementing temperature checks on students and parents entering the building once the equipment becomes available.
For Students please ensure that:
- You wash/sanitise your hands once you come into the building and after you complete your class.
- If you are unwell please inform your parents and your teacher.
- Practice social distancing. Keep a safe distance from other students and reduce time spent at the school in order to reduce contact.
For Parents please ensure that:
- Encourage your child to wash/sanitise their hands once they arrive and before they leave.
- If your child have any symptoms of illness, e.g. fever, body aches, runny nose please refrain from coming to class until you have recovered. If you are unsure of whether to come or not please enquire with your teacher.
- If you have come from an area infected with the virus, please self quarantine for 14 days even if you do not have any symptoms.
- Practice social distancing. For example, pay fees online to minimise contact with others, just dropping and pickup up your kids also to minimise contact with others.
We need work together to keep calm and take the necessary precautions, and most importantly as someone aptly put it:
Keep Calm and Ballet On!
